When you feel stress or tension close your eyes, breathe deeply and focus on warmth around your heart. Focus on a beautiful white light shining inside of you. It may work better for you to focus that light and positive healing energy on the particular area that you feel stress such as your shoulders. Try this different ways and see what works best for you. If you have never done this before, it may take you a few attempts to feel as though you are accomplishing it. Remember there is not right or wrong way – just whatever helps you release some of your tension and at least sense your inner peace.

Negativity Builds Up
It is important that you don’t let your stresses and difficulties build up in your body. Shoving your feelings down – repressing them – only adds more stress to your body. Worrying and fretting over things brings negative energy into your body. Your cells absorb all of this negativity and the next thing you know you will be ill. Blockages are created and energy can no longer flow smoothly through your body. One common area in the body where you may notice this is your shoulders. Are they tense? Do you feel tension in them? Another common occurrence is that you get a cold.
