Spiritual Laughter

One of our teenage sons :)
Laughter Yoga is becoming increasingly popular.  It is fun and makes you feel wonderful.  Think about a time when you laughed so hard your stomach hurt or a time you just couldn't stop laughing.  Maybe you have just been sitting somewhere and all of a sudden you start to smile as you remember something funny and then burst out laughing.
Has anything ever happened where you can't help but laugh?  Where does that come from?  Is it your spirit reaching out to you to tell you to lighten up?  Is it God or the Divine wrapping warmth and love around you?
There have been studies done that show laughter is valuable to our health and mental status.  Laughing to me, however, is much more than a yoga exercise, health benefit or something we just do occasionally.  Laughter is a special place where pure light shines through.  It is where joy overtakes all that is dark and where laughter flows out of you like an erupting volcano.  Laughter is music to the ears and demands attention from those that hear it.  Laughter can be a tipping point where it makes someone else laugh just because he/she heard you laugh.  In fact, when practicing Laughter Yoga participants may start out having to create laughter, but soon they experience true heartfelt, soul-deep laughter.  Laughter is contagious and spontaneous.  Though we cannot touch laughter it can touch us deeply.  Don't hold back your laughter – share it with the world.
